I have worked with my husband Gene in Tokheim Stoneware's studio since he began it in 1973. Gene is the potter. I add research and design work to the pottery, along with paintings and prints. In April 2022 i released my first comic book: The Princess and the Boat Boy, Heroes of the Primstav.

Our collaborative ceramic work is in the permanent collection of the Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum and has been included in regional and international exhibitions. You can see more about that all of these things our website:  www.tokheim-stoneware.com

As a young artist I became seriously interested in Norwegian-Folk Art, as this online exhibit illustrates. Its strength and beauty inspired my development as a designer. I enjoy the challenge of coming up with new work in this tradition as well as the audience of others who love Scandinavian design in all its forms.

Design thinking is important in every kind of activity.  Creating spaces that foster my own and other people's creativity has been at the heart of all my work. I welcome your comments.
